Virtual grounds return to audio output begins with Diasam’s debut EP, Artefact Vol.1, an entrancing amalgam of lost and founds, featuring re releases of Kill em Wit and !!RUN, alongside two new tracks, fished from the bottom of a pile of deep cuts sitting on hard drives at his Leicester home studio.

Artefact ebbs and flows through the different aesthetic influences Diasam is known to weave into his sets and productions. Throbbing distorted bass punctuated by sharp syncopated percussion make up the EPs opener, Ascent. Kill em Wit, originally released on Folley Soundsystem’s debut V/A compilation returns here as part of a fuller body of work, a peak time dance floor filler. !!RUN returns as well, as played by skin on skin, it contains an infectious bassline and swelling drums impossible not to bounce along to. Won’t Ever Forget closes out the EP, showing Diasam’s softer side, simultaneously euphoric and melancholic.
